Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel Fuel Tank Top Plate
 
Specifically designed for Hummer H1 Duramax conversions, this upgraded stainless steel top plate replaces the weak factory tank cover with a solution built for performance and durability. CNC-cut from oversized 316 stainless steel, it offers superior corrosion resistance and won’t warp like the factory aluminum versions often do.
 
Recognizing the limitations of the factory fuel pickup, which is far too restrictive to support a Duramax engine, this top plate comes preconfigured to handle much greater flow. It includes a high-flow billet aluminum pickup system, manufactured by FASS and machined from 6061 T-6 billet. The bulkhead fitting features a 5/8″ suction tube and a ½″ fuel return port, ensuring reliable supply and return even under heavy load or extended throttle.
 
The suction tube itself is made from PTFE Teflon and can be easily cut to accommodate different tank depths. When properly installed, it allows safe operation down to approximately 1/8 of a tank, minimizing fuel starvation issues common with factory setups.
 
Additionally, the plate includes two extra ½" NPT threaded ports, giving you flexibility for future accessories such as auxiliary fuel tanks, or venting.
